Filtering a search

Search result lists can be filtered. You can create a search and filter the displayed results after creating and saving it, or you can access a previously saved search and filter the results. The filtering capabilities of the archive will enable you to refine searches and add specific criteria within a search.

Adding a filter

To apply a filter to a search result set, the search must be saved.  Once the search is saved, the action buttons will be displayed above the results table.  To apply a filter:

  • Select the "Filter" action button (1)
  • Identify your filter criteria (2).  By default keyword is displayed, however additional criteria can be added for  sender, recipients, date (ranges), asset size, assets on hold for any particular reason, and an assets tagged state within the current saved search (3).
  • Apply the filter (4).

Modifying a filter

Once a filter has been applied, the filter icon will display a count of the number of criteria the currently applied filter has.  Clicking the filter icon and modifying the existing criteria or adding new criteria will allow for continued filtering once applied.

Removing a filter

Removing criteria from a filter can be done by clicking on the (-) to the left of the criteria line in the filter widget (2).
