This article demonstrates how Outlook 2013 can be quickly configured to send encrypted emails using Sendinc.

Prerequisites

Select the "Manual setup or additional server types" option and click "Next".

Step 5:

  • Set Outgoing server (SMTP) to "465" with the encrypted connection set to "SSL"

Note

Outlook may set your Incoming/Outgoing server settings when you choose "SSL" as the encrypted connection. Be sure to set the Incoming/Outgoing server settings back to their proper values if this happens.

Step 12:

Verify that Step 9 and Step 11 are correct and click "OK".

Step 13:

Click "Next".

Step 14:

Outlook will now run a couple of tests to verify your settings. If the tests are "Completed" you can click "Close". If one or both of the tests failed, please go back to the beginning of the guide and verify that you set everything up exactly as instructed. Still not working? Submit a Support Ticket.

Note

You will receive an email from your Sendinc Email Alias with the subject "[Secure Message] Microsoft Outlook Test Message". You can safely delete and disregard this message, it just means your setup worked.

Step 15:

Click "Finish".

Step 16:

When composing a new message, set the Sendinc Email Alias account you just created as the From address before sending.

All Done!

Send a test email to yourself to make sure everything works!
