Sending Encrypted Email with the Mail App for iOS (iPhone / iPad)
This article demonstrates how the iPhone or iPad can be quickly configured to send encrypted emails using Sendinc.
Prerequisites
- A Sendinc Email Alias - Don't have one? Enable Your Email Alias
- An iOS device with Apple Mail
Important
Sendinc Email Aliases DO NOT receive incoming mail. Although some SMTP Integrations include steps to set up incoming connections to the Sendinc IMAP server, this server is simply a ghost server to get the mail account set up in your client correctly. It does not actually receive mail.
Some clients may need to verify that you own the email address. Mail to your Sendinc Email Alias will be forwarded to your real email address, however, you should not give your Sendinc Email Alias out to the public or try to use it for daily purposes. If we detect that you are abusing it, you may be restricted from using this part of the service.
If your alias has been compromised and/or is receiving regular mail, you can reset it to get a new one.
