Why Is Sandboxing Important
The Attachment Defense Sandboxing allows us to push email messages to a safe environment where we then check the attachment for any type of payload.

The Attachment Defense service only scans for certain types of attachments found on this KB: file types scanned by Attachment Defense.
If we deem an attachment as a threat in our sandboxing service, it will then stop the message in real time by quarantining the message as a virus. Customers with the sandboxing service enabled can stop threats in real time.
Note: Threats Found
If a threat is found in the sandbox environment, the definitions for Attachment Defense get updated so future recipients of the same attachment will stop it
Attachment Defense Sandboxing Is Included These Packages

To Enable Attachment Defense Sandboxing
- Under the Administration section, navigate to Account Management==> Features.
- Check Enable Attachment Defense Sandboxing.
- Click on Save.
Mail Delays
Note: Mail being scanned in the sandboxing process will be delayed and can be delayed up to 15 minutes
If a message is delayed more than 15 minutes please contact Essentials support.
