Zix Gateway: Having issues sending Encrypted messages?

Since April 2022 we have attempted to contact you regarding the End of Life for the current hosted ZixGateway solution, and an upgrade to the new ZixSecure Cloud Email Encryption solution with instructions and guides to complete with our team.

The ZixGateway End of Life on September 15, 2022 has passed. The Gateway Servers have been shut down, this will impact all outbound email, not just encrypted email. If you have not completed the upgrade to ZixSecure Cloud and your email environment is still configured to go outbound through the ZixGateway solution you will find that you are no longer able to send outbound email.

If you have NOT Started the Upgrade process and have not received a welcome email for the new ZixSecure cloud solution, PLEASE Contact your Account Manager ASAP to get started. (877) 466-7726 ext 1.

  • Upgrade in process and you think you are complete?
    Contact Support ASAP to confirm. You are receiving this email because we still show the above domain(s) not fully setup in the new Zix Secure Cloud.
  • Not Started and need to upgrade?
    Please contact your Excel Micro Account Manager immediately for your next steps. The End of Life has passed, and we cannot guarantee your account will be active prior to you starting or completing the upgrade.
  • Outbound Mail Impacted? Unable to send email due to ZixGateway going end of life?
    To restore immediate mail flow, please disable your existing Smart host, allowing mail to flow through DNS. Example of old Smart host to remove (ZixC6.strongport.com, ZixC7.strongport.com, etc.). IMPORTANT NOTE: This will restore outbound mail flow but WILL NOT restore encryption.
