Question
Can I customize the Teachable Moment videos?
Answer
You are unable to customize the actual video within the Teachable Moment but you can customize the surrounding text. Proofpoint Essentials Security Awareness offers several Teachable Moment videos that play when the user falls for the phish. The information listed below will help you customize the videos based on your company needs.
Video Web Page Customizations
Like other teachable moment templates, our Phishing product allows you to customize the text that appears around the video. The actual video content cannot be customized. In the screenshot below, you can see that we've made changes to the default text.

Video Compatibility
We use a very popular third-party video player to present videos to users. By default, videos are played in an HTML5 video player, with Flash fallback for older browsers. This player, and our videos, are compatible with the following platforms:

*Requires Flash Plugin
Mobile Support
Our videos support all modern mobile devices on a variety of different browsers. Our primary video file type is MP4, which has the widest compatibility followed by WEBM for Android/Firefox users. Subtitles are supported on iOS devices with limited support on some Android devices.
Video Player Customization (advanced)
For those users who are comfortable editing HTML, it is possible to change the way that the video is presented to users. Here are some options:
Set Default Subtitle Language
By default when the video plays, no subtitles are displayed to the user. However you can configure the teachable moment to display the subtitles in the language of your choice by adding the word "default" immediately after the subtitle src URL. For example, to show Portuguese by default you would change:
<track kind="subtitles" label="Portuguese" src="http://video.threatsim.com/subtitles/youvebeenphished-pt.vtt" />
to:
<track kind="subtitles" label="Portuguese" src="http://video.threatsim.com/subtitles/youvebeenphished-pt.vtt" default />
This will cause the player to display Portuguese subtitles upon play:

Video Autoplay
By default the Teachable Moment videos play automatically when the user opens the landing page. To disable this, in the code block for the video, add a comma (,) after the videoFoam: true line then add the line autoPlay: false.
Note: Mobile devices such as Androids and iOS devices do not support auto play due to restrictions built in by Google and Apple.
Video Streaming Information
All video assets are located on our CDN. Video file sizes range from 15-4MB with bit rates from approximately 600 Kbps to 250 Kbps. Videos and all assets are accessed via HTTP.
