How do I pull internet headers from an email message?
Below are instructions on how to pull internet headers for various email clients.
Microsoft Outlook 2010
1. Double click the message to open it in a new window
2. Click File
3. Click Properties
4. Left click in the box titled Internet Headers
5. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text in the internet headers box
6. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text
Microsoft Outlook 98-2007
1. From the inbox, right click on the message
2. Select Options (Message Options for Outlook 2007)
3. Left click in the box titled Internet Headers
4. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text in the internet headers box
5. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text
Gmail
1. Open the message
2. Click the down arrow next to the Reply button
3. Select Show Original
4. Press Ctrl + A to select the displayed text
5. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text
Hotmail
1. Open the message
2. Right click in the message window and select View Source
3. Left click in the source window and press Ctrl + A to select all
4. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text
Yahoo! Mail
1. Open the message
2. In the header at the top of the message, click the drop down menu next to 'Standard Header' (this may also read ‘Compact Header’)
3. Select Full Header
4. Left click in the full message headers box
5. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text
6. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text
Windows Live Mail
1. Open the message
2. Click File
3. Click Properties
4. Select Details
5. Click Message Source and the header will appear in Notepad
6. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text
7. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected text
Microsoft Outlook Express 5 & 6
1. Right-click on the message and select Properties
2. Select the Details tab.
3. Left click in the box titled Internet Headers
4. Press Ctrl + A to select all the text

Entourage
1. Double click the message
2. Do one of the following:
a. Entourage 2008 - Select Message > Internet Headers
b. Entourage 2004 - Select View > Internet Headers
3. Click within the Internet Headers area
4. To highlight all the text, press Command-A
5. To copy the text press Command-C
Zimbra
1. Open the Zimbra Web Client Message view.
2. Right click on the message and select Show Original
