Overview
To limit the number of email addresses with the ability to log into the Mimecast Administration Console we will be removing alias address access.
For security reasons, we are limiting the possible email addresses that have the permission to log into the Mimecast Administration Console.
Starting on February 28th, 2022 we’ll be removing the ability for an alias email address to login.
In some circumstances an admin may have a large number of alias email addresses associated with their mailbox, under this scenario each alias inherits the permissions from the primary and effectively increases the admin account exposure.
Required Actions
Review the Administrator accounts used to access the Mimecast Administration console to ensure all administrators use their primary email address and not an alias.
