Sending Encrypted Email with Outlook 2013 for Windows

This article demonstrates how Outlook 2013 can be quickly configured to send encrypted emails using Sendinc.

Prerequisites

Step 1:

Open Outlook 2013 on your Windows computer.

Step 2:

Click "File" in the top left corner.

Step 3:

Click on "+ Add Account".

Step 4:

Select the "E-Mail Account" option and fill out the form:

  • Fill in Your Name
  • Set E-Mail Address to your Sendinc Email Alias
  • Set Password to your Sendinc Password
  • Set Retype Password to your Sendinc Password

Step 5:

Click "Next".

Step 6:

Outlook will now run a couple of tests to verify your settings. If the tests are successful you can click "Finish". If one or both of the tests failed, please go back to the beginning of the guide and verify that you set everything up exactly as instructed. Still not working? Submit a Support Ticket.

Note

You will receive an email from your Sendinc Email Alias with the subject "[Secure Message] Microsoft Outlook Test Message". You can safely delete and disregard this message, it just means your setup worked.

Step 7:

When composing a new message, set the Sendinc Email Alias account you just created as the From address before sending.

All Done!

Send a test email to yourself to make sure everything works!

If you are having trouble with automatic configuration with Outlook 2013 (Windows), please try Outlook 2013 (Windows) - Manual Configuration
