Sending Encrypted Email with Outlook 2013 for Windows
This article demonstrates how Outlook 2013 can be quickly configured to send encrypted emails using Sendinc.
Prerequisites
- A Sendinc Email Alias - Don't have one? Enable Your Email Alias
- A PC with Outlook 2013 for Windows
Step 1:
Open Outlook 2013 on your Windows computer.
Step 2:
Click "File" in the top left corner.
Step 3:
Click on "+ Add Account".
Step 4:
Select the "E-Mail Account" option and fill out the form:
- Fill in
Your Name
- Set
E-Mail Address
to your Sendinc Email Alias - Set
Password
to your Sendinc Password - Set
Retype Password
to your Sendinc Password
Step 5:
Click "Next".
Step 6:
Outlook will now run a couple of tests to verify your settings. If the tests are successful you can click "Finish". If one or both of the tests failed, please go back to the beginning of the guide and verify that you set everything up exactly as instructed. Still not working? Submit a Support Ticket.
Note
You will receive an email from your Sendinc Email Alias with the subject "[Secure Message] Microsoft Outlook Test Message". You can safely delete and disregard this message, it just means your setup worked.
Step 7:
When composing a new message, set the Sendinc Email Alias account you just created as the From
address before sending.
All Done!
Send a test email to yourself to make sure everything works!
