Proofpoint Essentials: Ongoing issue with Azure sync recreating some user accounts

DESCRIPTION
Affected Product US2 and EU1 Proofpoint Essentials users that user Azure user sync
Symptoms Customers using Azure user sync may see that some users have been recreated. 
Start Date May 3rd
Efficacy Affected users may be unable to release older mail from quarantine or previous digests, these users should also verify that they have the expected role and privileges for their account.

Recommended Actions

Please have one of the Admins (once re-established) go into the Log Search and release the specific email from the quarantine. OR

Log a ticket with Excel Micro support and provide details on the impacted user and what message(s) they would specifically want released from quarantine.
