Mimecast TTP Domain Update on November 30, 2023
Please review upcoming changes to our TTP domain links and make any necessary changes.
Dear Valued Customer,
As part of Mimecast's commitment to continuous improvement, we have important updates to share with you regarding an upcoming Mimecast TTP domain change.
What is changing?
To better distinguish between public Mimecast links and TTP links (rewritten URLs in your organization's inbound emails), Mimecast will be changing our TTP domains effective from November 30, 2023. Accordingly, this change will only apply to links created on or after November 30. Any TTP links created before this date will remain unchanged and will continue to function as expected.
Below are examples of old and new TTP links. Please note the domain and format changes:
Old: {region}-protect.mimecast.com
New: url.{region code}.{service code}.mimecastprotect.com
What do I need to do?
If you have integrations that are parsing messages for Mimecast rewritten URLs or decoding Mimecast rewritten URLs, you will need to update these integrations with logic for both the old and new URL patterns. Please make these changes prior to November 30, 2023 to minimize the risk of disruption to any workflows and automations.
Impacted integrated types may include SOAR, XDR, and custom scripts making use of the Get Message Part or Decode URL API endpoints. We have already made our Technology Alliance Partners aware of this change, where parsing of these URLs is being performed by their integrations.
As these links are visible to your Email Security end users, you may want to notify them about this change.
If you have any questions, we’re here to help. Please contact the Mimecast support team or your Account Manager. Thank you, as always, for being a Mimecast customer.
