Proofpoint: Create Data Entry Campaign

Question

How to I create a Data Entry Campaign?

Answer

This campaign tries to get the user to enter in their credentials or other information into a fake web site. Passwords are not collected. Users are then sent to a Teachable Moment.

  1. Under Tools, click Security Awareness, followed by Launch Platform
  2. Navigate to Phishing
  3. Select New Campaign
  4. Choose Data Entry Phishing
  5. Type name in the Campaign Title field
    • Required and must be unique
    • No end users will see the campaign name, so make it relevant and obvious to other administrators and yourself so it is easily locatable
  6. Select one or multiple Campaign Email Templates
    • Filter on Language, Category and Average Failure Rate (AFR)
  7. Edit Template Data Entry Campaign - for both editing existing template and creating template from scratch
  8. Add Campaign Users
  9. Select Phishing Link Teachable Moment
  • Choose category from drop-down list
  • Filter by Language

Note: Language will default to the regional settings in the user's browser.  If Multilingual is selected, the user will be able to select the language from a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of the Teachable Moment.

  • Select Specific Teachable Moment
  1. In Depth Training - Auto-Enrollment in Training
    • If selected, users will be assigned training if the fail campaign conditions
  2. Data collection - select the date to stop collecting click data and to stop presenting Teachable Moments to end users
    • Never end data collection or disable Teachable Moment OR
    • End data collection and disable Teachable Moment (set date/time or link duration)
  3. Scheduling
    • Schedule Campaign - date and time when a campaign starts
    • Random Scheduling - date and time range when the campaign will start - emails will go out randomly over the time frame
  4. Plugin Detection
  5. Network Checks - Weak Network Egress Detection  (Enables weak network egress checks in the email message)
  6. User Data Options - Anonymize Results  (optional)
  7. Email Tracking Options - Track Email Opens

Note:  Disabling this will prevent tracking if an end user opens an email
