Proofpoint: Create Classic Attachment Campaign

Question

How do I create a Classic Attachment Campaign?

Answer

This campaign tries to get the user to open a simulated malicious DOC or HTML file attachment. When the user opens the file they are presented with customized attachment content.

  1. Under Tools, click Security Awareness, followed by Launch Platform.
  2. Navigate to Phishing
  3. Select New Campaign
  4. Choose Classic Attachment Phishing Campaign
  5. Type name in the Campaign Title field
  • Required and must be unique
  • No end users will see the campaign name, so make it relevant and obvious to other administrators and yourself so it is easily locatable
  1. Select one or Multiple Phishing Templates Campaign Email Templates
    • Filter on Language, Category and Average Failure Rate (AFR)
  2. Edit Template - for both editing existing template and creating template from scratch
  3. Edit Teachable Moment - For Classic Attachment Campaigns, each template will come with a default Teachable moment embedded in the attachment
    • To edit this, edit the template > Message > Attachment Content
    • You can make small edits to the default Teachable Moment in the editor
    • You can pick a different default by using Import Custom Training at the bottom of the page

You will only be able to pick from Custom Teachable Moments, so you may want to first create a copy of an existing one if you want to use it.

See Create a Custom Teachable Moment for more details
