Proofpoint: Training Assignment Link Not Working

Question

Why is my training link not working?

Answer

There can be a few different reasons why your training link is not working properly.  Please see the troubleshooting steps below to diagnose and solve the issue.

  1. Enable Cookies: Ensure that your web browser has cookies enabled. We require cookies for the Training to start and complete properly.  If your browser does not support cookies you may see blank pages after starting the module.

  2. Credentials: If when you click the link you are taken to https://company.securityeducation.com/login and you are asked to enter your username and password, this can indicate a failure. Please try to select, copy, and then paste the URL (link) into your web browser's address bar. You may need to attempt this a few times or in another browser to be sure you’re copying the URL as it appears in the email.

  3. Expiration: If the Assignment has expired and is over 30 days since expiry, you will be met by a page stating the following.

  4. Verify URL: If that still doesn’t work, be sure to verify the URL in the email matches the address bar. Some organizations use tools that intercept and replace URLs on the network. If you’re using an other vendor tool that does this, you’ll want to work with your IT team to ensure that our IP’s are safelisted.

Make sure the notification template is using the correct event URL property. The “${url}” must remain in the body of the email in order for end users to receive their unique training URL. If this is deleted at any point, it must be added back via the Add Contact Property drop-down, not manually typed, in order to work properly.
