Google recently announced the launch of Google Workspace. Google Workspace includes all of the productivity apps you know and love with your current G Suite account--Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, and many more.
With Google Workspace, Google is introducing three major developments:
- A new, deeply integrated product experience that helps people accomplish more at work, at home, and at school
- A new brand identity that reflects Google’s ambitious product vision
- New ways to get started with solutions tailored to customers' unique needs
What does this mean for you?
- Beginning in April, Google will start automatically upgrading all G Suite accounts to the equivalent Google Workspace solution. There are options to upgrade even more to include additional storage and other benefits.
- If your organization is currently utilizing additional Google solutions such as Google Drive or Google Vault, there are custom paths for your upgrade to Workspace which may adjust your pricing.
- If your organization is currently on G Suite Enterprise, please contact your account manager to learn about the Google Workspace Enterprise version that best fits your company’s needs.
- Important Note: Google is requiring any organization with a minimum of 300 licenses of G Suite to upgrade to an edition of Google Workspace Enterprise.
