Question
How do I remove the acknowledge button from a Teachable Moment Video?
Answer
As with all Drive-By and Data Entry Teachable Moment pages, the Teachable Moment videos contain an Acknowledge button of the page. When the user clicks on the Acknowledge button in a Teachable Moment, users are automatically marked as trained. However, with video Teachable Moments, users are also automatically marked as trained if the video runs until the end. Often our customers see where their users will click on the Acknowledge button without watching the entire video. Therefore, we give you the ability to remove the button. This will ensure that users do not have a button to click to mark them as trained and rather forces them to watch the video until the end. If you wish to do something like this you can do the following:
- Under Tools, click Security Awareness, followed by Launch Platform.
- The Security Awareness console opens.
- Navigate to Phishing > Custom Teachable Moments
- Select Create New Custom Teachable Moment
- Choose your video from the Use a Standard Template drop-down
- Click Import
- Click on the Source button in the editor
- Remove the source code for the acknowledge button by deleting the string that looks something like this:
form action="/training/acceptance" class="well form-inline wrp" id="training_form" method="POST"><button class="btn" name="training_ack" type="submit">Acknowledge</button></form>
- Click Source to see changes
Note: The button is no longer there
- Take out the wording at the top of the video about clicking on the acknowledge button
- Change the wording it to say something like This is a XYZ Company approved teachable moment. To be automatically marked as trained you must watch the video until the end.
- Name the template
- Click Save Template
- Your template without the Acknowledge Button will now show in the Your Custom Teachable Moment Pages table
