Proofpoint: Broken Image Error in Campaign Email

Issue

User is receiving a broken image error in Phishing Email

Solution

If a user receives a broken image error on a phishing email, it means that the image was not properly uploaded to Proofpoint.  In order to correct the error, follow the steps below:

  1. Under Tools, click Security Awareness, followed by Launch Platform.
    • The Security Awareness console opens.
  2. Select Phishing
  3. Choose New Campaign
  4. Select the campaign type
  5. Add the campaign template
  6. Edit with the pencil icon
  7. Select Message tab
  8. Click the image icon on the editor
  9. Click the Upload tab
  10. Choose your image file by using the Choose File
  11. Click Send it to the Server
  12. Click OK

Note: You cannot edit a template on a campaign that has already been sent out.  You will have to recreate the entire campaign.

The best way to prevent this is to send yourself a test email before sending out the campaign to all users.

Please see Adding an Image in a Campaign  for more information.
