On September 10th 2024, we will be enforcing multifactor authentication (MFA) across all user and administrative accounts on the VIPRE Email Security portal. The change is aimed at safeguarding VIPRE Email Security customer accounts and enhancing overall system security.
Why MFA?
Multifactor authentication adds an extra layer of protection by requiring administrators and users to verify their identity through multiple methods before gaining access. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, ensuring that our Email Security platform remains secure.
What to expect?
There’s no action to take. We'll embark on a customer communication plan leading up to Tuesday, September 10th. After this point, if MFA isn't already set up, users attempting to log in to the portal will be prompted to set up either SMS or a 3rd party App-based authentication.
