Collectors
Collectors gather your data for archived storage. Collector settings is where you tell the archive system how to access your data.
| Name: | This can be any unique value to identify the server |
| Interval: | Configuration for collection time interval. We recommend 'Every 4 Hours'. Options available are: Nightly, Weekly, Monthly, Every 4 Hours, Every 6 Hours, Every 12 Hours. |
| IP/DNS: | The public IP or DNS name for the server you are connecting to. |
| Port: | Port number to communicate with the server you are connecting to. POP is typically 110 or 995 |
| Use SSL | Please use SSL connection wherever possible to maintain the privacy of your data. If you cannot use SSL, please consider using SMTP collection instead. Please note: Google Apps and Gmail will only accept SSL connection on port 995. |
| Username: | The user name associated with the mailbox name. This is for authorization only. |
| Password: | Password for the user name's account. Leave blank unless you are changing or setting for the first time. |
| Message Size: | Select the maximum message size to collect.. Messages greater than the selected size will not be collected. |
| Status: | Enabled / Disabled. Disabling the collector will stop it from collecting data. |

Test results to see if your account settings are correct. If any error occurs, possible causes will be identified |
Firewall configurations restricting POP connectivity from external services?
If you have selected POP as the method to populate the archive service, and you have any firewall restrictions, you will need to add the following IP addresses to your firewall configurations based on your geographical region.
