How do I create a new Training assignment?
Answer
- Under Tools, click Security Awareness, followed by Launch Platform
- Navigate Training
- Click + Create Assignment
- Under Assignment Information, complete the following fields:
- Enter a unique Admin Assignment Name for the new training assignment.
This name is used internally to identify the assignment and will not display to the end user. It will appear on reports and on the Assignments table for reference.
Note: The options listed below will change based on the Assignment Schedule type you select in Step 4i
- If Scheduled Assignment,enter Start Date - Select the date users will be able to access this assignment
- If you are using email notifications, the email will be sent at 12:01 AM Eastern Time on the selected date
- If the start date is today, the assignment notification will go out within 30 minutes of creation
- If you do not want the notification to be sent immediately, set the Start Date in the future
- If Duration Assignment, enter Enrollment Delay
- Enter the number of days after the user is added to the assignment that enrollment begins (the Start Date). The value must be a whole number and can be zero. If zero is used, enrollment begins within 30 minutes of creation.
- If you are using email notifications, the email will be sent out at 12:01 AM Eastern Time on the date.
You can choose to automatically enroll new platform users into your Duration based assignment by following the steps in the New User Training article.
- Enable/Disable Assignment Priority > Prioritize Assignment
- Sets assignment to the top of the users lists and requires the user to complete the assignment first
- If Scheduled Assignment, select Due Date
- This is the date that is marked as the deadline for users in their My Training view. It is also when the Assignment is closed and no further users or groups can be added to it
- If Duration Assignment, under Assignment Due Within, select how many days after the enrollment that the assignment is marked as overdue
- Value must be a whole number.
- Enable/Disable Assignment Extension > Enable Grace Period
- Number of days a user will be able to access the assignment past the due date. Maximum grace period allowed is 365 days. User will be marked Overdue if completed during Grace Period.
- Edit the Grace Period if desired
- This will default to 30 days
- Select Assignment Schedule

Fixed End Date (Scheduled)
- Sets a fixed start and end date for the assignment for all enrolled users

No End Date (Duration)
- Sets a number of days relative to when the user is enrolled into the assignment

Note: If you change your mind at this point and you want to change the type of assignment you are creating, choose a different Assignment Schedule.This will allow you to set a number of days relative to when the user is enrolled into the assignment. The fields on the page will change accordingly.
- Under Notifications, complete the following fields
- Select Training Assignment from the drop down
- You must enabled the new assignment notifications in the notification library in order to select a notification
- Select Training Assignment Completion notification option from the drop-down list.
- Changing the active assignment completion template in the notification library will impact this assignment
- Check/Uncheck Assignment Completion Certificate > Include Assignment Completion Certificate
- Users will receive an assignment completion certificate by email when they complete the assignment
- Select Training Assignment from the drop down

- If you want to create a reminder email(s), select + Create Reminder
- Select Training Assignment Reminder from the drop down
- You must enabled the new assignment notifications in the notification library in order to select a notification
- Changing the active assignment completion template in the notification library will impact this assignment
- Choose Send Date(s)
- You can select multiple days to schedule sending this reminder more than once.

- Under Content, click the + sign next to each module under Available Modules to add it to the Included Modules list on the right.
- You can also double-click on the module name to add it to the Included Modules list. The number of lessons in each module displays to the right of the module name.
- Optionally, you can search, filter and sort the Available Modules list to locate the desired modules:
- Type all or part of the module name in the Find item by name search box. As you type, modules matching the search criteria entered thus far will begin displaying. To clear contents entered in the box, click the X at the end of the search box.
- Click the Filter icon to filter the list
- Click the Sort icon to sort the list in ascending or descending order alphabetically, run time or type
Note: You can only select one module at a time.
You can now preview modules by clicking on the module name blue. The module will open in another browser window where you can page through it. You can also proceed with cloning the module from here.
- If you want the modules to show in a specific completion order, select the Enforce module completion order box, and use your mouse to click on and drag the modules up and down into the appropriate order
Note: Enforce Module Order cannot be edited after the assignment is saved.
- In the Users section, click on the box(es) next to the user(s) you want to add to the assignment
- If you click in the check box to the left Email, you can also select or deselect all of your users or select or deselect all users on the specific page.
- Click the Filter icon. When selecting users, there is the ability to filter based on Date Range (when the user was added to the system), and Groups.

Date Range – Do any of the following:
- Select one of the existing blue links (Today, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days).
- Select a date range using the calendar by clicking on the first date and the last date of the range.
- Enter the date or date range in the textbox. If you enter a date in the textbox, use the MMM-DD-YYYY (three-character month abbreviation followed by a hyphen, then the two-digit date followed by a hyphen, and then the four-digit year). For example, May-13-2019. If adding a date range, add a space after the first date in the range followed by a hyphen and then the ending date in the range. For example, May-13-2019 - May 16-2019

Date Range – Do any of the following:
- Select +Add to Assignment
- Click Submit or Save Draft if you are not ready to finalize the creation
- Your assignment will now show in the Training Assignments table
