Proofpoint: Removing and Re-adding a User to a Duration Assignment

Question

I added a user to a duration assignment before they officially started employment. Will removing and re-adding the user on their first day employment start their time in the assignment over?

Answer

Removing a user from a Duration Assignment and re-adding them will not reset the assignment clock for that user. If the user has 30 days to complete the assignment when you add them on 9/1, and you remove them on 9/8 to re-add them a week later on 9/15, they will still have that original 30 days from when they were first added to complete the assignment, leaving their due date at 9/30.

Note:  If a customer is removed from a duration-based assignment then re-added, they will NOT get a new Training Assignment notification or a new due date.   To get a new notification and new due date, the user would need to be placed in a new duration assignment
